Acting Minister Suh Ho will attend the cabinet meeting at 9 A.M. tomorrow.
On July 16, Mr. Suh will attend the vice-ministers’ conference at
10:30 A.M., and deliver congratulatory remarks at an academic seminar
co-hosted by chairman of the Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee
Song Young-gil and Soongsil Institute for Peace and Unification at
1:30 P.M.

Q. Covid-19 seems to have spread significantly in the North – what
is the Unification Ministry’s understanding of the current situation,
and is the Government considering sending humanitarian aid?
A. There are many views on the North’s state regarding Covid-19.
Some sources argue that the number of casualties reach 500. However,
the North claims that there are no cases of Covid-19, and the WHO
confirms this. As a note, the Ministry makes judgements based on the
North’s official announcements.
Also, as Covid-19 is affecting the economy in all parts of the world
with varying degrees, North Korea would most likely be facing similar difficulties.
