On June 28, Minister Kwon Youngse delivered remarks at the National
Memorial for Abductees During the Korean War to commemorate the North
Koreans abducted during the War.
Minister Kwon mentioned that the Government would do its best to
confirm whether the abductees are alive or dead and to repatriate them.
He noted that the best way to resolve the abductee issue is for
North Korea to change its stance and to engage in inter-Korean dialogue.
