On July 4, the Unification Ministry held a commemorative ceremony and
an academic conference to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the July
4 South–North Joint Communique under the theme ‘Walking the Path of Unification.’
In his congratulatory remarks, Minister Kwon Youngse explained that
the July 4 South–North Joint Communique serves as the basic spirit
that guides inter-Korean relations.
He emphasized that the Yoon Suk Yeol administration will open a new
path for sustainable development of inter-Korean relations that
respects all inter-Korean agreements from previous administrations.
