On September 8,
Unification Minister Kwon Youngse delivered remarks at an event to
commemorate the 41st Day of Separated Families.
Minister Kwon
mentioned he had proposed that North Korea solve the issue of
separated families before coming to this event, and he added that
the authorities from the two Koreas must put ideology, politics, and
system aside and must not hesitate to address this problem.
In addition, he told the participants that he and the Yoon
administration would put the issue of separated families at the
forefront and give their utmost effort to resolve this issue with
sincerity and the deepest respect.
