On October 3, Unification Minister Kwon Youngse delivered video
remarks at the opening ceremony of the special photo exhibition about
the division history of Korea and Germany.
Minister Kwon mentioned that this special photo exhibition is where
Yeoncheon County and Germany’s Hof share the pain and scars of
division, understand the present and future of unification, and
remember how to open a new history of national unification together.
He also hoped that the cooperation of Hof and Yeoncheon County become
a valuable starting point for further expansion of freedom and solidarity.
*'Special Photo Exhibition on the History of Korea-Germany Division'
is a photo exhibition held under the theme of division, harmony, and
peace by Yeoncheon County and Germany's Hof, an international-friendly
city, in preparation for the event to commemorate the 70th anniversary
of the armistice and the participation of the UN forces in the war.
The exhibition can be viewed at Almex Land in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi-do
(October 3–November 30).
