On August 30 to September 1, the Ministry of Unification held the Korea Global Forum for Peace 2022 under the theme ‘Unification Vision of Korean Peninsula and South-North Korean Relations in the Transition Period.’

In the opening ceremony, Unification Minister Kwon Youngse said that discussion and implementation of the “Audacious Initiative” would set the foothold for peace on the Korean peninsula, Northeast Asia, and the world and be the stepping stone towards dialogue among the two Koreas and the United States.

In addition, Minister Kwon emphasized that the Government would devote itself to strengthening the foundation for unification on the Korean peninsula home and abroad as our will and capability, as well as the support and cooperation by the global community serve as the most powerful driving force for unification.
