On November 11, Unification Minister Kwon Youngse met with Ryu
Young-mo, the President of the United Christian Churches of Korea, and
exchanged opinions on the Government's North Korea policy.
Minister Kwon Youngse mentioned that it would be of great help if
the Korean church made an effort to develop inter-Korean relations in
such a difficult situation and the Government remains firm that
humanitarian cooperation must be pursued regardless of political or
military considerations.
President Ryu Young-mo expressed thanks to the Minister for meeting
the families of the North Korea detainees and replied that the United
Christian Churches of Korea will also help the Government to improve
inter-Korean relations.
