On Dec. 6, the National Conference of Citizens for Social
Conversation on Peace and Unification Vision held the ‘Social
Conversation Governance Implementation’ discussion.
At the event, Unification Minister Kwon Young-se said that civil and
social organizations with diverse features, including the
conservatives, the progressives, the centrist, and religious circles
endeavored to implement the governance of communication and
cooperation beyond ideologies, political factions and religion under
the common goal of ‘peace and unification on the Korean peninsula and
their efforts became the foundation for the development of social
conversation.
Unification Minister Kwon Young-se emphasized that the Korean
government would continue its effort to make the future of unification
more concrete through social conversations and would integrate the
will for unification. He added that the Korean government would
establish the future unification vision of Korea for Koreans,
especially the future generation, to sympathize with and for an
alliance with and support from the international communities to be
extensively secured under the banner of liberty, justice, peace, and
prosperity.
National Conference of Citizens for Social Conversation on Peace
and Unification Vision (launched in Apr. 2019): Social conversation
council with a variety of civic groups, including the conservatives
and the progressives (including the Pan-national Social Organization
Federation, Civil Society Organization Network in Korea, Young Korean
Academy, YMCA and Korean Conference of Religions for Peace (7
religious orders).
