On December 14, the Ministry of Unification held the “Chungcheongnam-do Community Forum for Korean Peninsula of Denuclearization, Peace and Prosperity” as a part of the denuclearization and peace sympathy project with the public.

In the Forum, Unification Minister Kwon Youngse said that the Audacious Initiative would be the way to realize denuclearization through greater cooperation and restoring inter-Korean confidence is the earlier action to support and cooperate with North Korea in trivial fields immediately after North Korea starts negotiation for denuclearization.

Moreover, Unification Minister Kwon Youngse indicated what we have to do to properly implement the Audacious Initiative with the unified will of the public for unification and a definite unification vision. He also explained that when the public will for unification is integrated, the Ministry of Unification could implement the policies for unification and North Korea more dynamically and consistently, and then, North Korea would give up provocations and start communication with South Korea.
