On December 16, the Ministry of Unification held 「South-North Korea
Joint Economic Development Plan International Forum 2022」 to share the
vision of the 「South-North Korea Joint Economic Development Plan」 in
connection with the 「Audacious Initiative」 and expand
sympathy.
During a speech at the Forum, the Unification Minister,
Kwon Youngse, conveyed that “the South Korean government remains
steadfast in its efforts to achieve the goal of a ‘Korean Peninsula of
Denuclearization, Peace, and Prosperity,’ with a measured and calm
approach, despite any fluctuations in circumstances." He also
indicated that “through the implementation of the 「South-North Korea
Joint Economic Development Plan」 in the process, the government plans
to build a solid foundation that will lead to mutual growth between
the two Koreas and advance toward a unified Korea.
