On February 22, the Ministry of Unification held a general meeting of
the Ministry’s 2023 policy advisory council and presented letters of
appointment to newly appointed members.
In order to effectively respond to issues regarding unification and
North Korea, the Unification Ministry has newly appointed 108
university professors with extensive knowledge and experience and
experts actively engaged in research in related fields as policy advisors.
The Ministry’s 2023 policy advisory council consists of six
subcommittees—unification policy, situation analysis, exchange
cooperation, humanitarian cooperation, inter-Korean talks, and
unification education—and plans to carry out policy advisory
activities through regular meetings and communication by subcommittee.
The Ministry of Unification will continue to listen to the valuable
voices of the policy advisory council members as we push forward with
our policies.
