Panmunjeom tours temporarily suspended
due to African swine fever

□ The R.O.K. Government will temporarily suspend Panmunjeom tours
from October 1 to prevent the spread of African swine fever (ASF).
o The decision is part of the unaνoidable, intensified quarantine
measures to stem the spread of ASF to other regions, which saw the
first outbreak in Paju, Gyeonggi Provice located near Panmunjeom.
o The suspension of tours, through consultation with the United
Nations Command, will take effect today(10.1).
□ The Government, while closely monitoring situations regarding ASF,
will exert utmost efforts to resume Panmunjeom tours at the earliest
possible date.
o We sincerely ask for your understanding and cooperation.
