follow the teachings left by Kim Il Sung and compared the current
situation to that of 1956.

On April 22, the North Korean media
condemned the passage of the Special Measures Agreement on defense
cost-sharing by the South Korean National Assembly.
On April 25, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for
the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Country, in a
statement, denounced the South Korea-US joint air combat exercise.
On April 25, the North Korean media blasted the plan by South Korea
and the US to conduct the joint military exercise dubbed the “19-2
Exercise,” originally named as “Ulchi Freedom Guardian” (UFG).
On April 26, the North Korean media, in a comment marking the first
anniversary of the Panmunjeom Declaration, said that the South should

Security Advisor John Bolton for recent comments regarding the
prospects for a third meeting between President Donald Trump and DPRK
leader Kim Jong Un.

of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army gave performances.
On April 26, the North Korean media reported that a spokesperson for
the Association of Korean Victims of Forcible Drafting and Their
Bereaved Families, in a statement, blasted a group visit to Yasukuni
Shrine by Japanese politicians.
