1. 1st ‘Unification education week’
As we have already announced several times, Ministry of Unification designated this week as the 1st ‘Unification education week’ and is holding various unification education events in coordination with the Office for Government Policy Coordination, Ministry of Education, office of education for cities and provinces, and local governments.
Among some major events to be held this week are: declaration ceremony celebrating the ‘Unification education week’, one-day teacher activity by the Minister, Vice Minister, and high-ranking officials of the Unification Ministry.
Unification Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae will serve as a one-day unification teacher at Munsan Elementary School(5.27), Yongmoon High School(5.29), Seo Seoul Life Science High School, and Incheon Nam Middle School(5.30).
Tomorrow(5.28) Vice Minister Kim Nam-sik will be a one-day unification teacher at Gandong High School in Hwacheon where the second branch of Hanawon is located.
The Unification Ministry hopes that this campaign will make young generation become more interested in unification and recognize that unification issue is a daily matter for Koreans. We would like each individual to have an opportunity to think about the definition of unification and what it takes to achieve unification.
