1. Regarding the inter-Korean governmental working-level talks on the GIC
7th round of the inter-Korean governmental working-level talks on the Gaeseong Industrial Complex(GIC) is to be held on Wednesday(8.14). The government is preparing for the talks in a calm manner.
The opening call at Panmunjeom was made at 9 A.M.
2. Minister’s Schedule
On Wednesday(8.14), Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae will give a lecture on the “Current status and trust-building process on the Korean Peninsula” at the 『Unification Policy Forum』 hosted by the Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation at the Sejong Center for the Performing Arts at 7:30 A.M.
On Friday(8.16), Minister Ryoo will give a lecture on “trust-building process on the Korean peninsula, a promise towards peace and unification” to about 200 students and faculty members at the Korean National Open University at 4 P.M. The lecture will be televised on Open University Network(OUN).
