1. Minister’s Schedules
Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae is delivering a keynote speech at the 「Korea Global Forum 2013」 this morning.
Minister Ryoo will attend the National Assembly’s interpellation session after the speech.
2. Vice Minister’s Schedule
Vice Minister Kim Nam-sik is attending the National Assembly’s interpellation session on behalf of the Minister from 10 A.M.
3. Regarding North Korea’s claim on the arrest of our citizen
On November 11th, the R.O.K. government requested North Korea to provide personal information of our citizen in response to North Korea’s claim that it had arrested a South Korean citizen. However, North Korea has not responded to our request.
The R.O.K. government is making every effort to verify the identity of our citizen, details of the accident, and the present situation.
We once again urge North Korea to provide the personal information of our citizen.
4. 259th Inter-Korean Exchanges and Cooperation Promotion Committee
The R.O.K. government held the 259th Inter-Korean Exchanges and Cooperation Promotion Committee in paper from November 12th to 15th and passed the vote on the bill for consignment of the Inter-Korean Exchange·Economic Cooperation Management.
For the fifth year of the Inter-Korean Exchange·Economic Cooperation Management, a total of 1.19 billion won will be provided free of charge from the Inter-Korean Cooperation Fund.
5. Entry and exit status
487 South Korean citizens will enter and 467 will exit the GIC today. A total of 805 people stayed in the GIC yesterday.
