1. Minister’s Schedules

 

Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae is attending the policy interrogation session of the National Assembly’s Special Committee on Budget and Account from 10 A.M.

 

On Tuesday(12.3), Minister Ryoo will attend the cabinet meeting at 10 A.M.

 

At 2 P.M., Minister Ryoo will give a special lecture on “Inter-Korean relations and the Trust-building Process on the Korean Peninsula” at Yonsei University’s Global Leadership class.

 

On Wednesday(12.4), Minister Ryoo will attend a luncheon meeting with South Korean abductees that returned to the South after the Korean War.

 

On Thursday(12.5) and Friday(12.6), Minister is planning to attend the evaluation session of the National Assembly’s Special Committee on Budget and Account for non-economic ministries at 10 A.M.

 

On Thursday(12.5), Minister will attend the Military Armistice Commission(MAC)•Neutral Nations Supervisory Commission(NNSC)’s Year-End Celebration and deliver a dinner speech at the Special Office for Inter-Korean Dialogue at 6 P.M.

 

2. Vice Minister’s Schedules

 

Vice Minister Kim Nam-sik will give a special lecture to the participants of the 4th “Academy for Negotiations with North Korea” at the Special Office for Inter-Korean Dialogue at 7 P.M.

 

On Tuesday(12.3) or Wednesday(12.4), Vice Minister Kim will attend the subcommittee for evaluation of the account settlement of the National Assembly’s Foreign Affairs and Unification Committee.

 

On Thursday(12.5), Vice Minister will attend the 1st anniversary of the opening of the second branch of Hanawon and give a congratulatory speech at 11 A.M.

 

On Friday(12.6), Vice Minister Kim will attend the vice-ministers’ conference at 4 P.M.

 

3. Follow-up measures for GIC’s Sub-Committee of 3Cs

 

One Unification Ministry personnel and five technicians will visit the Gaeseong Industrial Complex(GIC) at 10:40 A.M., to proceed the work on setting the Radio-Frequency Identification(RFID) system, which was negotiated at the Sub-Committee meeting of the 3Cs (Crossings•Communications•Customs Clearance) on November 29th.

 

The technicians will conduct pre-inspection of the construction sites with the North Korean officials and confirm the specific dates for the construction.

 

Specific schedules of working-level contacts for the telecommunications and military communications will be discussed through the GIC secretariat.

 

4. Entry and exit status

 

854 South Korean citizens will enter and 322 will exit the GIC today. A total of 264 people stayed in the GIC yesterday.
