1. Minister’s Schedules
Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae attended the 『Hankyong Millennium Forum』 this morning and gave a lecture on “Current Inter-Korean Issues and Countermeasures.”
At 3 P.M., Minister Ryoo will sit down for a meeting with Director Richard Bush and members of Center for Northeast Asian Policy Studies of the Brookings Institution.
2. Vice Minister’s Schedules
Vice Minister Kim Nam-sik will attend the 23rd Supporting Committee Meeting for the Jeju Special Self-Governing Province at 3 P.M.
3. GIC Subcommittee meeting of 3Cs
In the upcoming GIC subcommittee meeting of the 3Cs (Crossings·Communications·Customs Clearance) on January 24th, we will continue to hold consultations on issues that were negotiated at the 3rd meeting(11.29) and working-level meeting for communications and military communications channel(12.6). Issues on setting the Radio-Frequency Identification(RFID) system and simplifying the customs clearance, and connecting the Internet will be discussed.
4. Entry and exit status
The Gaeseong Industrial Complex(GIC) is operating as usual. 483 South Korean citizens will enter and 458 will exit the GIC today. A total of 826 people stayed in the GIC yesterday.
