1. Holding family reunions for the separated families on the occasion of the Lunar New Year

l      The Chairman of the “Republic of Korean National Red Cross” delivered our stance on holding the family reunions in a notice sent to the North via the Panmunjeom channel this morning(1.27).

-          In the message, we welcomed the North’s acceptance of our January 6th proposal to hold the family reunions upon the Lunar New Year.

-          We proposed to hold the family reunions from February 17th to 22nd at Mt. Geumgang considering the separated families’ yearn for the reunions.

-          Furthermore, we offered to hold Red-Cross working-level contacts at the North side of Panmunjeom, Tongilgak on January 29th for consultations on practical issues.
