1. Minister’s Schedules
Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae will sit down for a meeting with the Chairmen of the Korea NGO Council for Cooperation with North Korea at his office at 10:30 A.M.
On Tuesday(3.18), Minister Ryoo will attend the cabinet meeting at 10 A.M.
On Wednesday(3.19), Minister Ryoo will attend the KIDA Defense Forum hosted by the Korea Institute for Defense Analyses and give a lecture on “Our Societal Tasks for Unification Era” at the Plaza Hotel at 7:15 A.M.
At 2 P.M., Minister Ryoo will attend the international symposium in commemoration of the founding of the Green Asia Organization at 2 P.M.
On Friday(3.21) Minister will give a special lecture on “Directions and Tasks for Unification Era” to the students of the College of Social Sciences at the Soon Chung Hyang University at 2 P.M.
2. Hanawon and Seeho Vision signs Memorandum of Understanding(MOU)
Hanawon (also known as the Settlement Support Center for North Korean Refugees) of the Unification Ministry and the Seeho Vision will sign an MOU at the grand conference room tomorrow at 3 P.M. The Seeho Vision will provide eyeglasses for sight corrections to the students of Hanawon free of charge for 5 years.
According to the MOU, about 360 North Korean refugees will receive the eyeglasses annually.
3. Entry and exit status
876 South Korean citizens will enter and 368 will exit the GIC today. A total of 272 people stayed in the GIC yesterday.
