1. Minister’s Schedules

 

Minister Ryoo Kihl-jae attended a debate forum hosted by the New Politics Alliance for Democracy lawmaker Shim Jae-gwon and delivered congratulatory remarks at 10 A.M.

 

Minister Ryoo will attend the plenary session of the National Assembly’s Legislation and Judiciary Committee later in the afternoon. “Basic Act on Improving Inter-Korean Relations” will be proposed at the Committee today.

 

Tomorrow(4.29) Minister Ryoo will attend the cabinet meeting at 10 A.M.

 

On Wednesday(4.30), Minister will attend the U.S. Association of the National Unification Advisory Council and give a special lecture on “Directions and Tasks for Unification Era.”

 

2. Vice Minister’s Schedules

 

Vice Minister Kim Nam-sik will attend the Incheon Academy’s seminar on inter-Korean economic cooperation and give a lecture on Wednesday(4.30) at 6:30 P.M.

 

On Thursday(5.1) Vice Minister Kim will attend the vice-ministers’ conference at 4 P.M.

 

3. Job Fair for North Korean Refugees

 

The Ministry of Unification, together with the North Korean Refugees Foundation(Korea Hana Foundation) will hold a job fair for North Korean refugees on Wednesday(4.30) at Bexco, Busan with 30 companies from Busan, Ulsan, and South Gyeongsang area.

 

The North Korean refugees from the area will be able to experience various job search activities including finding out about different companies and taking on-site interviews.

 

The job fair is hosted by the Unification Ministry and sponsored by related government entities and organizations such as the Ministry of Employment and Labor, the National Police Agency, and the Small and Medium Business Administration.

 

A total of 6 job fairs will be held this year across the nation.

 

4. Entry and exit status

 

930 South Korean citizens will enter and 380 will exit the GIC today. A total of 279 people stayed in the GIC yesterday.
