1. Minister’s Schedule
Minister Yu Woo-ik molded a ‘Unification Jar’ with porcelain master Kim Jeong-ok on Saturday at Youngnamyo, Mun-kyung. The moon-shaped Baekja, or white celadon, will be about 50cm in height and diameter when completed. The upper and lower halves of the jar are attached to each other symbolizing unification of the Korean peninsula. Moreover the Unification Jar has a symbolic meaning of storing our long-aspired dream of national unification just as the Korean ancestors kept valuable goods in jars at home. This will serve as an opportunity to gather the Korean government, civic organizations and the international community’s firm commitment to the national unification.
There are no official schedules for the Minister and Vice Minister this week.
