1. Minister’s Schedules
Minister Yu Woo-ik had a meeting with UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon on Monday at 13:50 P.M.
On August 15, Minister Yu will participate in the National Liberation Day ceremony taking place at the Sejong Center.
The minister is scheduled to have a policy meeting with former unification ministers on Thursday at 19:00 P.M. On the occasion, Minister Yu will explain about the government’s stance on unification preparation and listen to various opinions.
Minister Yu will take part in the ‘Supporters of Korean Unification Night’ on Friday, 19:00 P.M. at the Sejong Center.
2. Vice Minister’s schedule
Vice Minister Kim Chun-sig will participate in a workshop on the subject of ways to improve unification education in schools of Gyeongbuk Province on Friday, 14:00 P.M., Pohang.
3. North Korean Refugees in Hanawon Made Donations to the Unification Jar
On August 10th, 330 North Korean refugees in Hanawon presented Minister Yu with a voluntary donation for the unification jar worth 599,040Won. The donation will be delivered to the ‘Supporters of Korean Unification.’
4. Video Message Demand Survey to the Separated Families
The Republic of Korea National Red Cross will conduct a demand survey from August 13th to September 20th for the production of video messages to the separated families.
