On April 22, Unification Minister Kim Yung Ho will deliver
congratulatory remarks at the 2024 Peace Forum hosted by Segye Ilbo at
2 P.M.

diplomatic missions abroad.
On April 23, 10 A.M., Minister Kim will attend the cabinet meeting.
On April 24, at 7:30 A.M., Minister Kim will hold the 7th Wednesday Forum.
On April 25, at 6 P.M., Minister Kim will hold the 3rd Evening of Unification.
On April 26, at 9 A.M., Minister Kim will deliver opening remarks at
an international seminar on updating the COI report on human rights in
North Korea.
On April 27, at 2 P.M., Minister Kim will attend a talk concert on
stories about North Korea at the Chungcheongnam-do Office of Education
Culture Center for Students.

Q) Are there any notable trends in the North ahead of its founding
anniversary of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army?
A) There is nothing to confirm regarding developments in the North
on the occasion of April 25.
Q) It has been reported that North Korean vice-premier Ri Chol Man,
who is responsible of the North’s agricultural sector, is visiting
Russia. How does the Ministry evaluate the current food shortage
situation in North Korea, and what exchanges and cooperation is
expected with Russia?
A) The Ministry has nothing to confirm on matters concerning Russia
and North Korea unless there is an official announcement made by the
two countries.
North Korea’s crop production last year was relatively good.
However, as the North suffers a chronic food shortage, supply always
falls short of its demand. Consequently, the food situation is
expected to remain dim.
