1. Minister’s Schedules
Minister Yu Woo-ik is due to attend an opening ceremony of a calligraphy exhibition hosted by Education Center for Unification at 10 A.M, March 7th. The exhibition will display eight former and incumbent presidents’ calligraphy of traditional Chinese characters fervently hoping for the unification on the Korean Peninsula.
On Thursday, Minister Yu will take part in North Korean Policy Forum co-hosted by Maeil Business Newspaper and Korea Finance Corporation to deliver a lecture titled “Situation Surrounding the Korean Peninsula and Policy Toward North Korea.”
On Friday, Minister Yu is slated to participate in Policy Forum hosted by Parliamentarians’ Society of the Republic of Korea to give lectures.
2. Essay Contest on North Korean Abductees
Fact-finding Committee on Korean War Abductees will hold essay contest on stories of North Korean abductees. Participants should submit their essays from April 16th to May 15th. Winners shall be awarded a separate citation and prize money.
