1. Minister’s Schedule
Today, Minster Yu Woo-ik will visit Ulsan and Busan to elaborate on the South Koran government’s unification policy. The Minister will deliver a lecture to Ulsan University students at 10:30 A.M.
2. Vice Minister’s Schedule
Vice Minister Kim Chun-sig is due to visit two houses of North Korean refugees today in Seoul and Gyeonggi province to listen to the refugees’ difficulties in adapting to the South Korean society and to encourage them.
3. 2012 White Paper on Korean Unification
The Ministry of Unification issued annual white paper. The 296-page publication summarizes the South Korean government’s unification policies and inter-Korean relations between July, 2010 and December, 2011. The white paper consists of seven chapters including unification policies, preparation for unification, inter-Korean exchanges and cooperation, inter-Korean humanitarian cooperation, inter-Korean dialogue, support of North Korean refugees, and unification education. The document can be downloaded from our official website. English translation of the white paper will be published on late June.
