1. Minister’s Schedules
Minister Yu Woo-ik will visit Youngnamyo, Mun-kyung on June 21st and 23rd to complete ‘Unification Jar.’ The jar will be loaded into the kilns for the second firing on Thursday and completed on Saturday after few final touches.
On Tuesday, 14:00 P.M., Minister Yu Woo-ik will deliver a lecture to the students of Yeungnam University. Following the event, the minister is scheduled to brief on unification and inter-Korean issues to members of the ‘Central Association for National Unification of Korea, Daegu and Gyeongbuk office.’
Minister Yu will attend ‘The National Committee on Investigating Abductions During the Korean War’ conference hosted by the prime minister on Wednesday.
On the next day, the minister has a plan to deliver a lecture on unification and inter-Korean issues to the officials of the ‘Korean Council for Reconciliation and Cooperation.’ The event will take place at the Seoul Royal Hotel, 09:30 A.M.
On June 22nd, Friday, Minister Yu Woo-ik will give a lecture to the unification education related officials of South Gyeongsang Province area at the Changwon MBC Hall.
2. Vice Minister’s Schedules
Vice Minister Kim Chun-sig will visit Goheung, South Jeolla Province on Tuesday to participate in ‘unification fund raising rally’ and deliver words of encouragement.
On Wednesday, Vice Minister Kim will give a congratulatory speech at the ‘Gaeseong Industrial Complex Law Seminar’ to be held in celebration of the 5th anniversary of the enactment of ‘Gaeseong Industrial Zone Support Act’ and discuss measures to improve the legal system. The seminar will take place at the Centennial Hall of College of Law, Seoul National University.
One June 22nd the vice minister is scheduled to deliver congratulatory remarks at a conference at the Press Center in which CEOs of the residing companies in Gaeseong Industrial Complex will participate.
3. Campaign for Unification Preparation
The Ministry of Unification launched ‘Campaign for Unification Preparation’ on June 18th as a means to strengthen our people’s commitment for unification. In support of the campaign, boy bands INFINITE and Teen Top, comedian Kim Won-hyo, and Noh Hong-choel will star in a video footage which will be posted on our hub site and Facebook until July 6th. We ask for the public’s interest and support.
