On July 13, Minister Kwon Youngse delivered congratulatory remarks at
an academic conference hosted by the Korea Institute for National
Unification to explore the situation on the Korean Peninsula and the
new North Korea policy.
Minister Kwon explained that finding a path to unification through
inter-Korean dialogue and cooperation will be the most reliable
investment for the country’s future and that the Government will
pursue new strategic solutions based on freedom and democratic values.
He also emphasized that a new Korean Peninsula can be achieved by
guaranteeing a North Korea policy based on bipartisan trust and
support, which will lead to consensus and trust from the international
community and will build mutual trust between the two Koreas.
