Minister Kwon Youngse delivers congratulatory remarks at the World
Congress for Korean Politics and Society 2023 (June 29)
On June 29, Unification Minister Kwon Youngse delivered
congratulatory remarks at the World Congress for Korean Politics and
Society 2023 held upon the 70th anniversary of the foundation of the
Korean Political Science Association.
Minister Kwon said, “The Yoon administration is closely cooperating
and standing in solidarity with the international society, including
the United States, to strongly deter North Korea’s nuclear threats and provocations.”
“At the same time, we will not let go of the thread of dialogue and
will steadily make progress towards the denuclearization of the North,
centering on the Audacious Initiative,” he added.
Moreover, Minister Kwon mentioned that “we are also exerting
ourselves in expanding the understanding of unification domestically
and internationally and driving North Korea to make the right changes
by presenting a new vision of a unified future.
He emphasized, “In an era of conflict and division, peace and
unification on the Korean Peninsula will serve as a touchstone for the
reconciliation and integration of humanity.”
