Unification Ministry hosts a briefing on unification and North Korea
policies for ambassadors to South Korea and international
organizations (December 14)
On December 14, the Ministry of Unification hosted a briefing on
unification and North Korea policies for ambassadors to South Korea
and international organizations.
The policy briefing, which aimed to strengthen communication and
cooperation with the international community, was attended by
ambassadors and representatives of international organizations in
South Korea, as well as delegates from German political foundations.
At the event, Unification Minister Kim Yung Ho pointed out that the
North Korean regime is intensifying tensions on the Korean Peninsula
by persisting in the development of nuclear weapons and missiles
despite repeated warnings from the international community.
Minister Kim emphasized that in such a situation, it is important to
create a strategic environment through solidarity and cooperation with
the international community, so that North Korea has no choice but to
come to the negotiation table for denuclearization.
Furthermore, the minister expressed his commitment to continuing
efforts to manage the situation on the Korean Peninsula in a stable
manner and guiding the North to make the right choices. He also asked
embassies and international organizations in South Korea for their
active support and cooperation.
