North Korea (APPG NK),” through an official statement urging North
Korean authorities to release the South Korean detainees, expressed
their will to stand in solidarity with the government of the Republic

The U.S. State Department’s Democratic People’s Republic of Korea
Human Rights Report, which is used as a base data for formulating U.S.
diplomatic, economic, and humanitarian support policies, has

Rapporteur on the Human Rights Situation in North Korea Elizabeth Salmon.
The South Korean government will persist in its endeavors to
strengthen international solidarity on the issues of abductees,
detainees, and POWs, so that calls for the resolution of these issues
towards North Korea can be expanded as a global voice.
