North and South Korean Red Cross held a contact through liaison officers at Panmunjom on October 21 and exchanged the requests for the confirmation of the fates of 120 members of separated families each from North and South Korea in relations with video reunions, which are to be held twice this year.
The list of profiles of the 120 members requested by North Korea will be posted on the Integrated Information Center for Separated Families' website at www.reuion.unikorea.go.kr and for further inquiries, contact South Korean Red Cross's Inter-Korean Relations
Division at 02-3705-3643.
As agreed at the 16th Inter-Korean Ministerial Talks, both Koreas held a working-level contact at Gaeseong on October 5 and 7 to discuss issues related to the first reunion, which will be held on November 24 and 25, and the second reunion, which will be held on December 8 and 9. It was also agreed that approximately 160 families in total, 40 families from each side for every union, would participate in the reunion program.
The results of the requested confirmation for the fates family members will be exchanged on November 14 and the final list of participants will be exchanged around November 16.
After reviewing the issue of exchanging electronic files containing the lists of candidates for the video reunions, both Koreas converted the documents into PDF files and exchanged CDs containing the files.
