2016 Peace & Unification Film Screening opens at CGV Yeouido on December 5
The 2016 Peace & Unification Film Screening will be held at CGV Yeouido on December 5. Audiences will be able to see and feel the future of unification.
Four scenarios (two mid-length and two short scenarios) were awarded at the Peace & Unification Film Scenario Contest (May 20-July 10). Three of them were made into films.
The opening event will be followed by three screenings of the three films, and admission will be free of charge.
The Ministry of Unification has been supporting production of films about peace and unification since 2015 to build the Korean public’s consensus on the need for unification while enjoying movies. This is part of the Government 3.0 initiative to promote communication with the public.
The opening event will be held at CGV Yeouido at 16:00 on December 5 and be attended by Unification Minister Hong Yong-pyo, Chairman Kim Sung-jae of the Society and Culture Subcommittee for the Presidential Committee for Unification Preparation, and a number of movie figures including the production crews of the films to be screened.
