New Year’s Roundtable Discussion with the
Minister of Unification and Presidents of Four Prominent Research Institutions

On Monday February 5, from 3 P.M., Unification Minister Kim Yung
Ho will host a special roundtable discussion with the presidents of
four research institutions in the fields of unification, diplomacy and
national security. The discussion will center around the theme of
“Assessing the Situation and Devising Strategy For 2024, for Unified
Korean Peninsula that is Free and at Peace.”
Participants in the roundtable will be as follows : Kim Chun Sig
from the Institute for National Unification, Park Cheol Hee from the
Korea National Diplomatic Academy, Han Suk Hee from the Institute for
National Security Strategy, and Park Young Jun from the Korea National
Defense University.
The discussion will be live-streamed online through the Ministry’s
YouTube channel, with simultaneous English interpretation provided on-site.
Given the growing uncertainty in the global geopolitical arena and
continuous attempts by North Korea to exert influence on the South,
the upcoming roundtable is expected to facilitate profound discussion
on the Government’s strategic approach to issues on the Korean Peninsula.
The Government is committed to proactively responding to the
evolving situation and unwaveringly working toward the constitutional
duty of achieving “a Unified Korean Peninsula that is Free and at Peace.”
